About Emily

Emily is passionate about helping others improve their relationship with food through a non-diet approach. She is eating disorder informed, practices weight neutrality, and strongly believes in Health at Every Size (HAES). She is knowledgeable in the different challenges and nutrition considerations for both males and females.

During her undergraduate and graduate education she raced collegiately and was a 3 time National Champion in Cyclocross and Short Track. She continues to race cyclocross professionally and competes nationally and internationally. She lives in Virginia with her beagles, Sherman and Daisy.

Credentials and Experience

 

Master’s of Science

Emily obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a concentration in Nutrition from Lees McRae College. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Nutrition from University of North Carolina Greensboro.

 

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)

Emily completed her dietetic internship consisting of 1200 hours of supervised practice and passed a national exam to earn the RDN credential in 2018. Since then she has been working with athletes of all types and experience levels.

 

Sports Dietitian

Emily is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who specializes in Sports Nutrition. She strives to help athletes of any level fuel for optimal performance and health.
